DescriptionThe Geary family consisted of John and Ann (nee Walker) and their four children:

Herbert, born 1892 (married Olive Cruttenden)
Kate, born 26 July 1893, died May 1978
Eva, born 24 December 1894, died June 1984
Arthur, born 25 February 1897, (married May Mayett), died 15 August 1967

John Geary was employed as coachman/groom by Mr Francis, of Crofton Hall, from 1886- 1906. The Geary family lived in the coachman's cottage on Crofton Hall Estate. Later on they lived at 26 Gladstone Road, Farnborough.

Eva and Kate lived at 'Turweston', 205 Crofton Road, Orpington, from approximately 1935. They were active members of St Paul's Church, Crofton. Kate worked at one time for Mr & Mrs Phillips, of 'Benfield', Crofton, (demolished in November 1969).

Herbert Geary married Olive Cruttenden from Chislehurst, and the couple lived at 2 Camden Close, Chislehurst.

Arthur Geary worked at 'La Torne' in Crofton Avenue in 1910. He married May Mayett at Farnborough Parish Church on the 2 August 1921. Their first home was at 11 Starts Hill Avenue from 1922- 37, they then moved to 19 Oregon Square, Crofton and lived there from 1937- 1984, when May died.
